The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale Brings Forth Its Delicious Products to the Great Grapes Food & Wine

PRESS RELEASE
Reston, Virginia April 26, 2014 – The Great Grapes Food & Wine Festival in Reston, Virginia is one of many splendid festivals in which The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale will be participating this season. The Vineyard has reaped the reward of a bountiful 2013 harvest, and is delighted to share its delicious products with local communities along the Northeastern and Southeastern seaboard.

When the opportunity to attend The Great Grapes Food & Wine Festival presented itself, Borgo Medioevale was thrilled to have its Muscadine grape products be among those of some of the finest vineyards in Virginia. The Vineyard’s recent harvest allowed Borgo Medioevale to increase production and roll out new products for 2014. The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale’s signature Muscadine grape products include red and white spreadable whole hull preserves and spiced butter, along with non-alcoholic white, red and blush ciders. Additionally, The Vineyard has created Muscadine BBQ sauce, salad dressing, and dessert syrup slated to be available for purchase this summer.

“The Great Grapes Food & Wine Festival is a wonderful annual event, where grape enthusiasts such as us have the opportunity to share the fruits of our labor. The Vineyard’s staff is even more delighted knowing that the local community has the chance to experience how truly unique each of our Muscadine varieties is in terms of both our food products and beverages,” said Dr. Lucinda Cassamassino DiFalco, Founder, CEO and President of L.C. Development, LLC., the company that manages the vineyard.

The Great Grapes Food & Wine Festival is a joyful celebration of uniquely talented grape artisans, with music, street fair activities, and more. From grape-based foods and ciders to wines and spirits, each vendor brings forth definitive flavors in each variety of grapes. This family-friendly event presents a wonderful educational experience for grape lovers of all ages.

The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale is proudly the sole distributor of Muscadine grape products in the entire Northeastern region of the United States. The Vineyard takes great pleasure in bringing to light the rare complexity that can only be found in either the Noble or Carlos variety of Muscadine grapes.
